Moisturizer For Sensitive Skin

Comments about Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture Sensitive Skin Ultra-Gentle Facial Moisturizer:Okay so I was on the hunt for a moisturizer that wasn’t TOO moisturizing for my skin. I have oily skin that can get dry extremely easy. So I need a moisturizer that will be moisturizing enough to skin right into my skin and not leave it dry, but not continuously add moisture to my face throughout the day, because my skin does that itself. Just a little something to rehydrate after freshly washing my skin. This works amazing. I can even put a little on my very oily t zone and it gives it enough moisture to not get dry but not aide my skin in its greasy-ness. Will be re buying.

If you have dry or sensitive skin, get used to reading labels You need a moisturizer that is highly emollient, yet does not contain ingredients or fragrances that can irritate it further. Even better are lotions or creams with healing properties. If your skin tends more towards oiliness or if you’re acne-prone, you might prefer a moisturizer for oily skin, which we cover elsewhere in this report.

4 Of 15 Ven Effect Anti-Aging Intensive Moisturizer The most impressive thing is walking around with inexplicably summery, dew-drenched skin in the dead of winter. I want a glistening complexion that belies my apartment’s glow-leaching dry air! This ultra-plumping, creamy moisturizer (created by two people who truly know what they’re talking about: A female gynecologist and her hormonal wellness specialist sister!) is spiked with phytoestrogen—just quickly, female estrogen production slows starting in our mid twenties, which results in a loss of collagen…aka all the wrinkles and the sagging. The only skin type this lotion doesn’t work so well for is very oily skin; but if you have dry, sensitive skin or other concerns, users say it works brilliantly. CeraVe AM feels like a lightweight lotion, going on just thick enough for you to feel its moisturizing effects, then soaking into your skin very quickly. It’s also fragrance-free, which further reduces the chance of skin irritation. No wonder it won an award for “best daytime moisturizer” from InStyle.com, and draws a hard-to-get 5-star rating from the picky editors at PaulasChoice.com.

Comments about Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture Sensitive Skin Ultra-Gentle Facial Moisturizer:I usually just apply this as an everyday moisturizer after washing my face or getting out of the shower. I have oily skin, so this is great for me. It’s very lightweight, so I wouldn’t recommend it for cooler temperatures, but I live in South Florida, so it works for me. Also, no breakouts, but I’m very acne prone anyway.

Fact: I have the driest, most sensitive skin in the entire world. (That’s probably not an exaggeration, either.) My skin is so sensitive that sometimes, in the middle of the day, as I sit stationary at my desk, it develops a rash, or a hive, or a burning itching patch, completely unprovoked. And when it’s not staging a coup on my sanity, it’s flaking. Oh, how it flakes. I have a strict, five-second window between washing my face and applying moisturizer before my skin tightens and shrivels into a dull, angry mess.

“But use a moisturizer!” you say, and I laugh. My normal nighttime routine currently consists of a hydrating serum, a thick-as-hell cream, an occlusive moisturizer (occlusive formulas basically form a film on the skin to prevent water loss), and then, sometimes, a facial oil on top, just for funsies. And still, I frequently wake up with a dry face. (It’s actually miraculous; I might be an anomaly. Somebody call Guinness.)

CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 is the best product we found for severely dry skin, but if your dry skin is mild to moderate and you’re interested in an alpha hydroxy acid moisturizer for its exfoliating and skin-smoothing benefits, Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar (Est. $47 for 2 oz.) draws rave reviews from users and a “best beauty product for 2015” nod from Allure.com.

Users say that Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar leaves their skin feeling — and looking — vibrant. It goes on creamy — not greasy — but still feels lightweight. Reviews are mixed from users with severe dry skin, but many users with mild to moderately dry skin say it’s the only thing that actually helps them restore smoothness and moisture to their face. Just be warned that if this product suits you, a little bit goes a long way. If you find yourself having to slather Renewed Hope in a Jar on your face to get results, it probably isn’t the right moisturizer for you — and the cost will add up.
